Join us for a captivating journey through the Wesak Day Night Carnival 2025 at the historic Buddhist Maha Vihara in Brickfields, Kuala Lumpur. This vibrant event commemorates the birth, enlightenment, and passing of Lord Buddha, drawing over 50,000 devotees and visitors from around the world.
Experience the grandeur of the evening float procession, featuring approximately 30 intricately decorated floats. The procession embarks on a 12-kilometer route through the heart of Kuala Lumpur, starting at 6:00 PM and lasting about four hours. This year's theme, "Foster True Compassion and Wisdom, Forge True Peace and Harmony," is beautifully embodied in the "Buddha and Nature" float, inspired by the story of Mukalinda, the serpent king who shielded the Buddha during meditation.

Beyond the procession, the Maha Vihara hosts a range of meaningful activities, including blood and organ donation drives, free vegetarian food offerings, and the lighting of approximately 7,000 oil lamps. Devotees also participate in traditional rituals such as offering flowers, candles, and incense, as well as the symbolic bathing of the Buddha statue.

This celebration not only honors Buddhist traditions but also showcases Malaysia's rich cultural tapestry, welcoming people of all backgrounds to partake in the spirit of unity and harmony.
