Sri Lanka day 2 was the time I climbed the ruins of a 5th century city anchored by a rock fortress which can only be accessed by steep stairs in Sigiriya. Which I am happy to report that I successfully reached the top after climbing 1200 steep steps with a breathtaking view when you reach the top and bragging rights for the accomplishment. Then off to lunch of authentic srilankan cuisine then I visited a golden temple and a spice garden where I have really discovered so many natural remedies and health benefits of spices. Such a fulfilling second day.
