San Agustin Church, Intramuros, Manila, Philippines ????????

This is one of the Catholic churches we visited during Visita Iglesia on Jueves Santo (Maundy Thursday), during Semana Santa (Holy Week) 2025.

The new pope, Pope Leo XIV (Robert Francis Prevost) has visited and celebrated mass in this church in the past. Prevost was ordained as a priest for the Order of Saint Augustine in 1982.

San Agustin Church is a Roman Catholic church under the auspices of the Order of Saint Augustine. It was completed in 1607, and is the oldest stone church in the Philippines.
