When we were planning our SE Asia backpacking trip, we found YouTube an invaluable resource for accommodation reviews. Now we are on our adventures, we want to share with you our views on the Phukhaolak Resort in Khao Lak where we stayed for 6 nights in November 2024.

This family run Resort offers a much higher standard of accommodation than its price would suggests. Roomy accommodation, friendly and attentive staff and a peaceful location provides just the location for a quiet and relaxing break.

We are Richard and Jackie and we live in the UK. We retired from teaching at the age of 51 in the summer of 2022. Our plans for early requirement include relocating to the Yorkshire Dales, developing our forever home and travelling the UK, Europe and eventually the world in our VW campervan Nelson.
