Week one of helping out in Myanmar was emotional in different ways. We visited both Golden Heart Animal Rescue and Better Life, but we chose to focus solely on Golden Heart. We went along to a rescue on one of the evenings for a dog that was spotted with a tumour (actually it was TVT), and took him to the vets for treatment. We got dogs organised for sterilisation, including the Dalmatian’s that were very high priority on our list. And, the main reason for our visit back to Myanmar and for the fundraising, we got the new paralysed enclosure built! One section is for the paralysed dogs and the other section for blind/old dogs, all of which have been stuck in treatment cages due to lack of space. Now they are in the new space, the treatment cages were then ready for the dogs who actually need them!
