隔着30公里的琼州海峡，与海南岛相望的雷州半岛，是中国三大半岛之一，三面环海，其中的湛江市，被誉为中国海鲜之都，每年正月，包括湛江在内的粤西地区，村村办年例，据说湛江的年例特别豪华，千桌万人宴，每桌餐标几千上万元，很多人见到没见过的海鲜盛宴，美食之外，还有丰富多彩的年例民俗，所以我在湛江最土豪的一个城中村，举办年例的前几天，来到了这富有热带风情的海滨城市，到处闲逛，等待年例之日，开开眼界。本集是我在湛江闲逛的内容。
Separated by the 30-kilometer-wide Qiongzhou Strait and facing Hainan Island, the Leizhou Peninsula is one of China's three major peninsulas, surrounded by the sea on three sides. Among its cities, Zhanjiang is known as the "Seafood Capital of China."
Every year during the first lunar month, villages across western Guangdong, including Zhanjiang, celebrate the "Nianli" festival. It is said that Zhanjiang's Nianli is particularly extravagant, featuring grand feasts with thousands of tables and tens of thousands of guests. Some tables have meal standards reaching several thousand or even tens of thousands of yuan, showcasing seafood feasts that many have never seen before. Beyond the food, the festival is rich in diverse folk traditions.
To witness this spectacle, I arrived in one of Zhanjiang’s wealthiest urban villages a few days before the festival. In this tropical coastal city, I wandered around, soaking in the atmosphere and waiting for the grand day of Nianli to broaden my horizons. This episode captures my time exploring Zhanjiang.
